What They're Saying About: The Canon Selphy CP510 Photo Printer
One of the best things about the smaller dedicated photo printers is that many of them are dye sublimation (known as dye sub) printers, which means they use a solid color source rather than liquid ink. The result is vibrant color that is practically indistinguishable from professional printed photos. The Canon Selphy CP510 is a dye sub printer that is also extremely inexpensive, offers good photos, connects directly to PictBridge cameras, and has an optional battery for travelers.

What They're Saying About: The Lexmark P315 Photo Printer
The Lexmark P315 photo printer doesn't need a computer to print its photos -- in fact, it doesn't even have a connection for a computer, which has kept the price below $100 (although it does limit things a bit).

What They're Saying About: The Kodak EasyShare Photo Printer 500
While many photo printers are manufactured so that they can do reasonably good text printing as well, the Kodak EasyShare Photo Printer 500 is meant for one thing only: producing high-quality photo prints.

What They're Saying About: The Epson Stylus Pro 4000
The Epson Stylus Pro 4000 proved highly popular, especially among reviewers from photography sites. They praised it for its ease-of-use, high-quality color and grayscale printing, and its ability to take rolls of paper, which is less expensive than using sheets. Even PC Magazine was enthusiastic -- the Epson Stylus Pro 4000 received a rating of 5 out of 5.

What They're Saying About: The Sony PictureStation DPP-FP30
The Sony PictureStation DPP-FP30 is a fine photo printer if you want them easy and good. Reviewers really liked the quality of the photos and said that installation and use is as simple as it gets. The only problem: Running costs may be a bit high.

What They're Saying About: The Epson PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition
The Epson PictureMate Deluxe is the next version of the well-received Epson PictureMate. Reviewers praised the fact that it has more features and higher speeds; however, they noted that its cost-per-print is no longer as good a deal as it was previously.
