Color Laser Roundup: Konica Minolta magicolor 2400W

It's nice to find a solid inexpensive laser printer -- especially one that offers color. And especially one that also offers good performance and top-quality printing. The two reviews features below both laud the Konica Minolta magicolor 2400W for its performance and print quality; the only caveat is its photo/graphics printing which, like other low-cost color lasers, leaves a bit to be desired.

Liked: The lowest [price] we've seen yet for a color laser printer. It churned out text at 13.6 pages per minute and graphics at 3.2 ppm. Print quality was outstanding, beating that of printers several times its price.

Disliked: This USB 2.0 printer works only with Windows PCs, not Macs. Plus, it lacks integrated Ethernet and support for Windows printer sharing, limiting its appeal for small businesses.

In Short: If you have modest paper demands, the new Magicolor 2400W is a good, economical choice for adding a splash of color to your printing.
