What They're Saying About: The Xerox Phaser 6300

I only found two reviews for Xerox’s new Phaser 6300 color laser printer, but they were both so glowing that I had to give them space here. Both the Phaser 6300 and the slightly faster Phaser 6350 earned high praise for their speed, features (including built-in duplexer and networking), ease of use, and reliability. The only criticism was that the print quality was only good rather than excellent, but for office use, this looks like a winner.

In Short:: Appropriate for a large workgroup or a small to medium-size office, the Xerox Phaser 6300DN is also the heftiest beast that can fit in a one-person operation where professional-looking output matters

Liked: The printer is easy to set up once unpacked. All configurations include at least 256MB, Adobe PostScript 3, PCL5c, USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100Base TX, and share all the nifty features of their predecessors like draft mode and the ability to print monochrome even if one or all of the color toners are empty. Overall, the new Xerox 6350 and 6300 series are currently the best performing desktop color laser printers we have ever tested. In many cases by a wide margin.

Disliked: The print quality overall is good enough for most all office applications though it ranks just above the middle of the pack among current color laser printer models.

In Short:: The Xerox 6350 and 6300 earn our editor's choice for best performance and reliability.
