The Canon MultiPass MP390 made Editor's Choice/Editor's Pick at both PC Magazine and PC World. Reviewers were enthusiastic about its speed (fast), it's print quality (good), and its built-in fax capability. Like many of the newer printers, it also comes with media slots, so you can print from a variety of sources.
PC Magazine gives the MultiPass MP390 ratings of "good to very good" for printed output, and takes away a few points for its lack of an automatic document feeder, which is important for office use. However, the editors also extol the quality of the photo printing and the availability of memory card slots, making this a good choice for families with multifunction needs.
The reviewer at PC World felt that the MultiPass MP290 was idea for home and light office tasks, and especially cites the fax capability, which is missing in many multifunctions at this price level. Testing found speeds to be average, but both printing and copying capabilities shone.
