All-in-One Printers
All-in-one, or multifunction, printers have copiers, scanners, and (typically) faxes built in. They are great for small offices, though they use a lot of space.
Kodak ESP 5250 All-in-One Printer
For the price (over $150), the Kodak ESP 5250 didn't perform as well as I hoped. In that price range it competes with some excellent Epson all-in-ones (including the WorkForce 610 and the cheaper NX 515) and some entry-level Brother printers. Photo quality is very good, print quality decent, but it's slow, takes a while to warm up, and had a number of photo-paper-related paper jams.

You'll pay twice as much for this Canon Pixma all-in-one as for the Pixma MX330 I recently reviewed. What do you get for the extra dough? A lot. Wireless / wired network printing. A built-in duplexer. Up to 9600 x 2400 dpi color printing. Truly outstanding colors. Is it worth it? While the cost of replacing five tanks can be huge, the quality is so good that I'd pay the extra money, since I tend to print a lot.

It comes with WiFi networking built in and can do pretty much everything that much bigger and more expensive all-in-one printers can do--but it does them without taking much space, or too much cash. Bottom line: You can't go far wrong here, but with so many printers in Epson's various lines, you can probably find a better deal (Artisan 810, anybody?).
