"What is: Resolution"

Definition: Resolution is the degree of sharpness of a displayed or printed character or image. For printers, resolution is expressed as the number of dots per inch. For example, 300dpi means 300x300 dots per inch, or 90,000 dots per square inch. Buyers should look for at leat 600dpi; a good graphics printer may offer 1200dpi or more.
