Here's a new way to recycle those old printers that you or your company don't need anymore: Give them to someone who does. Northrop Grumman, a global giant in the security business, has done just that. According to a Northrop press release, the company decided to donate more than 300 surplus network and desktop printers to the Chicago School District. "Over 75 different schools across all regions of the city will benefit from the company's donation," said Michael Manning with the Department of External Affairs and Partnerships with the Chicago Public School District, which more than 650 schools and over 400,000 students. "This equipment is a vital contribution that will serve the schools well. We are always appreciative of individuals and organizations who step forward to support our students through donations." A great idea from Northrop Grumman that I'd love to see copied by other companies that have surplus or unneeded electronics that they can donate to local schools.
