NeatDesk Scanner Reviewed
Monday December 29, 2008
The NeatDesk Scanner can help you organize the endless amount of paper in your life by creating folders for different kinds of documents. With fast scans to searchable PDFs, the scanner lived up to its promise of helping to organize receipts, documents, business cards, and much else that was cluttering up my filing cabinet. It struggled in trying to recognize and sort out the fields on business cards, particularly those from overseas, however. If you need help in figuring out how to organize your electronic data, the included software will be invaluable; but if you're just looking for a good scanner, there are better deals out there. Very helpful review. I was attracted to the fact that it could scan documents as well, as I do my own accounting, but I’m nervous after reading reviews about the buggy software and bad recognition for business cards. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the comment. The biggest issue was with international cards; but overall, I thought the ScanSnap did a great job with business cards, and I think it’s around the same price.
does the scan snap export to quickbook for instance? also i run my mac on parallels most of the time, which version would have a better software mac or win? if i got a win version and run my quickbooks on mac will it work?
