Cell Phone as Scanner, Copier, Fax

Saturday December 27, 2008
Indifax offers a service that lets you you copy and store or send documents using your cell phone. I haven't tried or evaluated the service, so I don't know how well it works, but according to the Indifax Web site, it's a fairly simple procedure. You register (US$10 or 7 Euros annually), snap a photo of whatever document you're working with (they recommend >2 megapixels), and e-mail it to an address given to you at registration. The document is then sent as an SMS attachment, an e-mail, or a fax, whichever you've chosen. Sounds interesting, if you find yourself in desperate need of a fax machine. Which could happen. Let us know if you give it a try.
