New Ink, Toner, from HP
Wednesday May 28, 2008
At an HP event held in Singapore this week, HP introduced new inks and toners that the company thinks will improve the way prints look. Its "Dual Drop Volume" increases the number of nozzles on the printheads in inkjet printers; the more nozzles there are, the more colors there are on a finished print, and making prints from a three-cartridge printer look more like they came from a six-cartridge printer. For laser printers, "ColorSphere" toner particles group together more closely than typical toner particles, again giving deeper and richer colors. CNET Asia has a blog posting about the new HP inks.
