So Where's My Jet Pack?

Monday October 2, 2006
According to an article in The News, an international publication, a spokesperson for Epson in Japan is foreseeing a time when consumers can print information directly from their TV sets -- for example, a recipe from a cooking show, or a coupon from a shopping channel, or info about their favorite sports team. The possibility is that, by using a WiFi connection, information will be transmitted directly from the TV signal to the printer.

All sounds very George Jetson, and if it ever does happen, I'll be quite happy to experience it. But quite honestly, there is already a place where customers can print coupons, recipes, and other info easily and quickly. It's called the Internet.
