The Cost of Cartridges
Monday December 5, 2005
The managing editor of the Kingsport Times-News (Tennessee) writes a short but eloquent explanation of why his free Dell 720 color printer is going out in the garage. "A pair of cartridges for a Dell 720 cost $57 at the local retailer." He suggests that you buy a printer based more on the cartridge cost than on the cost of the original machine.
As someone who recently replaced an all-in-one because each color cartridge costs about $40 to replace, I totally agree.
