If you want really, really good photo prints, then you may want to try a dye sublimation printer. These compact, portable units use a different technology than inkjets or laser printers -- they use heat to transfer color from cellophane ribbons to the paper. The results? Better quality, and longer lasting, color photos. The catch is that it is also more expensive, and as a result, most dye sub printers will only handle up to 4 x 6 prints.
