It's a TV! It's a Printer!

Thursday January 15, 2004
Epson, not behind anybody in its effort to combine several functions in one device, has announced two Epson Livingstation HDTV LCD projection televisions – the EPSON Livingstation LS47P1 and EPSON Livingstation LS57P1. These widescreen HD TV screens also include what Epson calls its "Photo On Demand" technology -- in other words, you can drop in your memory card, view your family photos on a big screen, and then print them out as 4x6-inch prints using the included dye sublimation printer. If you'd rather have a photo of your favorite TV star, you can freeze any image and print that out too. The possibilities are endless.... According to Epson, the two systems (one a 47-inch screen and the other a 47-inch screen) will ship in March 2004 with estimated retail prices of $3,499 and $3,999, respectively. More information is available here.
